Adirondack Public Observatory
Tupper Lake, New York
Set Default Text

The APO received a $70,000 grant from the New York State DEC and the Town of Tupper Lake in June 2016. This has made it possible for us to hire Envision Architects, Albany to help design the next two buildings: a domed building which will house a research telescope and a 12,000 square foot Astro-Science Center museum. This last building will include a classroom, exhibit hall, archival museum, lecture hall, and planetarium. Envision has provided us with updated sketches and a video fly-by of their proposed design. The proposed designs are a work in progress; check back for updates!
